
Neat, professional installation
The SeaStar Thru Bulkhead Steering Hose is a
ready-made quick fit hydraulic hose with thru bulkhead fittings
installed. It suits SeaStar outboard, sterndrive and inboard
applications. It’s designed to provides professional finish to
hydraulic installations, as well as providing kink and abrasion
protection to the hose where it passes through the splash well (or
bulkhead) on the boat. Supplied complete with two brass swaged
fittings (3⁄8″ tube thread), thru bulkhead fitting as well as
rubber boots to prevent hose kinking at the cylinder end. The
outboard hose has a 70 bar (1000psi) working pressure rating.

Installation Instructions:
- Determine desired area where the hoses will exit the transom.
DO NOT mount below the waterline of the boat as this is NOT a fluid
tight fitting. - Drill two 1″ holes through the outside (the engine side) of the
splashwell, inside along the gunwhale or through PVC tubing, under
the deck to the helm pump. Note that the bend restrictor is to be
installed onto the steering cylinder. DO NOT remove the protective
end caps until connection to the cylinder and the helm pump are
ready to be made. - Secure bulkhead mounting plate to the splashwell of the boat
using 3 of #10 screws (not supplied). - Thread the pigtail fitting onto the bulkhead mount plate and
torque to 20 in-lb. - Secure Hydraulic hose to the steering cylinder and slide the
bend restrictor over the swage fitting.
Note: DO NOT cut SeaStar Outboard hoses. Product is sold individually.
